Mission Statement

The core mandate of Reggae Sun Television is to focus on Jamaica's rich cultural heritage and also to examine and project interests and issues about every sector of our society. In this context, Reggae Sun facilitates the education, entertainment and motivation of our island people. It appeals to the society at large as all programmes are family oriented.

In Brief

Reggae Sun Television Ltd. was founded in 1999 as a licensed Motion Picture Production Company, giving us the free hand to produce and distribute local programmes to a global audience. These programmes focus on the development of our local talent, and people. We, however distribute programmes via cable companies locally. The network transmits directly to two cable companies based in Ocho Rios, and also rebroadcasts to approximately 90 % of cable companies throughout the island.

We are presently streaming live on the Internet (www.reggaesun.tv) show-casing Jamaica to the world, connecting the approximately 3 million Jamaicans living overseas and Caribbean families, as well as representing our rich and diverse culture to the other Non-Caribbean viewers.
